Plan for 2030 – AEG Launches Business Sustainability Newsletter

Businesses should focus their planning towards 2030 rather than 2050 if they are to meet their net zero commitments. That’s the central message of the business sustainability newsletter Alfa Energy has just launched to guide and encourage its clients as they make the step change required to meet the challenge of net zero. The first edition of Alfa Energy’s sustainability newsletter carries a selection of articles on some of the most important issues facing businesses in establishing their net zero and renewable energy journeys.

A highlight of the issue is an interview with Anna Baker, head of sustainability at construction firm The Carey Group, about how the group is working to make its sustainability vison a reality at the operational level.

Gianluigi Corbani, Alfa Energy’s head of sustainability and asset management, explores how such corporate commitments to decarbonize are increasing demand for finance-grade greenhouse gas accounting needed to develop sustainable environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategies.

The issue also offers solutions, including how Alfa Energy’s Equilibrium service helps clients to create a strategy and roadmap for net zero objectives. This is underpinned by an examination of the importance of energy and sustainability data management, a piece on the five reasons businesses should consider improving this essential governance tool and a look at the latest relevant regulatory updates.

The next issue is planned for June 2021. Please get in touch if you want to share your progress, thoughts or ideas.
